Australian Spark team announced for World Juniors

25 Mar 2014 by Little Athletics Victoria

Athletics Australia have today announced 18 Victorian junior athletes to represent the Australian Spark at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene, Orgeon, USA from 22 – 27 July 2014.

Australia has competed in every edition of this biennial event since the inaugural Championships in Athens in 1986. These 18 Victorians, along with another 43 of Australia’s best young athletes, will make up Australia’s largest ever traveling junior team.

This outstanding showing follows on from the biggest-ever Australian Junior Championships in Sydney that saw more than 2000 athletes compete at Olympic Park from 12-16 March.
